1. Character select menu not working in Chrome - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Works fine for me. Is chrome up to date? Click the settings button on the top right and click about. Also try disabling any extensions if it still fails to work after an update.

I'll add that I was also dropped several times then greeted with a offline mode Launcher. Had 2 clients logged on near Jita, Comcast for my ISP here in Florida.

I finally fixed the issue. The Realtek lan driver was the problem. I uninstalled the Realtek driver through the device manager and had windows use the generic driver that comes with Windows 8. I now get full download speeds. I did not realize it...

Any updates on this? Sisi update downloaded at 42KB/s average today. Offline installer downloads very slowly as well so its not just the launcher.

Still have never had to deal with a broken patcher but the downloads are painfully slow and have been for about 3 months now. I downloaded todays patch at 300 KB/s. In the past it was always a consistent 5-6MB/s

Have you tired turning off GPU particles under the eve graphics settings yet? I noticed you said it seems to happen after you launch or see missiles. Turning that off should turn off the missile effects and possibly fix your issue. Also back when...
